What does energy transition mean to you?

As Europe undergoes a severe heat wave, there is no better moment to talk about energy transition.

We asked the Group Coordinators of the Energy Transition Partnership for EU Fisheries & Aquaculture how they see decarbonisation in their sector.

They pointed to a shared understanding: the energy transition is about engineering common sense, viable business cases, policies and solutions adapted to local conditions - across ports, fleets, processing, research and communities.

It is about enabling the entire seafood value chain to reduce its footprint, invest with confidence and move towards a more sustainable future, without leaving anyone behind.
