Description
The day will be split into two parts:
1️ The first Youth Policy Dialogue with Commissioner Kadis
In this special session, 15 young people (ages 18-30) will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the new Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Mr. Costas Kadis. Together, they will discuss EU ocean policies and their impact on today’s youth and future generations.
2️ Youth engagement in ocean matters
The rest of the day will focus on how young people can get involved in shaping the future of the blue economy. We will dive into blue education, ocean literacy, and the skills needed to drive change. We will also highlight the EU4Ocean coalition for ocean literacy and showcase opportunities for youth involvement in initiatives like Mission Ocean & Waters, which empowers young citizens to take action for our ocean, seas, and waters.
From science to innovation, young people are the next generation of skills driving the blue economy forward. This is your chance to help steer the conversation and help shape a sustainable, innovative future for our ocean.
Let’s make waves together – your voice matters!
