Nutzerworkshop Die Küste im Klimawandel - Wissen, Austausch, Anpassung

The DAS‑Basisdienst “Klima und Wasser” and the BMV research network are jointly hosting the 3rd Coastal Workshop at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) in Hamburg. 

The two‑day event brings together coastal stakeholders, researchers and public authorities to exchange knowledge on climate change impacts and adaptation strategies for Germany’s North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts.

Purpose

The workshop aims to:

• Present the latest scientific knowledge on coastal climate change
• Share practical applications and adaptation examples
• Facilitate dialogue between practitioners, researchers and service providers
• Identify open questions and co‑develop potential solutions
• Strengthen the link between research outputs and operational climate services

Key Themes

The programme focuses on four main areas:

1. Updates from the DAS‑Basisdienst “Klima und Wasser” and the BMV research network
2. Development of climate fact sheets for coastal regions
3. Climate adaptation processes and real‑world application cases
4. Presentation of data portals and tools supporting coastal adaptation
