This workshop is part of a series of events organised by the ETP and aims to comprehensively explore the key challenges in the context of the energy transition. Each session will bring together experts from industry, policy and stakeholder organisations to discuss sustainable practices and innovative solutions for achieving energy efficiency within the fisheries sector. Participants will have the opportunity to develop concrete solutions together and recommendations to support decarbonisation efforts in the sector to gather stakeholders’ views that help shape the Energy Transition roadmap. We look forward to your participation!

About the ETP

The ETP promotes sustainable development through cooperation, knowledge sharing and dialogue with the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. The ETP brings together experts from fisheries, aquaculture, ports, the fishing shipbuilding industry, processing sectors, NGOs, research institutions, and others to share sustainable energy solutions and best practices.

With the support of the recently launched ETP assistance mechanism, the partnership coordinates discussions across 5 thematic areas, led by the newly appointed Support Group Coordinators—key stakeholders and ETP community members. Working groups focusing on each of the thematic areas will be formed within this community to provide recommendation to the future Energy Transition roadmap to be published by the end of 2025.
