MARE (A1) The impact assessment is scheduled to be submitted to the Regulatory Scrutiny Board on19 March 2021.

Given the strong interest from ENV in the possibilities of the initiative to support environmental directives, a separate constructive meeting had been held the previous day

The opinions of all relevant DGs are important, therefore we would need to have all the relevant comments by Monday 15 March lunchtime..

DEFIS The initiative can be a valuable support for Copernicus and the document looks good.

A document in preparation is outlining the in-situ needs of Copernicus. If not ready, we can send the previous version

Could operational oceanography be a separate category.? MARE replied that it is difficult to separate the costs from research but some mention can be made

JRC The Initiative will promote efficient data sampling for MSFD

RTD will provide written comments before the deadline

MOVE Human activity gets little mention. Could EMODnet’s role in mapping shipping traffic be mentioned..

MARE (A4) The full consultation can be uploaded in Europa.

MARE (C3) Comments on an earlier version have been taken into account. If there are any further remarks they will be sent on Monday.
