Description
The workshop "How Can Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Host and Support Ocean Literacy" is organised by theEU4Ocean Coalition as part of the European Maritime Day 2024 in Svendborg, Denmark. This insightful and engaging workshop will be held on 31 May.
A direct follow-up to the EMD 2023 workshop on Ocean Literacy (OL) and Blue economy, this workshop investigates connections between Ocean Literacy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Building on business practices in supporting ocean sustainability and ocean literacy, the workshop identifies conditions for business involvement in ocean literacy that can be part of CSR strategies and initiatives, respond to the requirements and philosophy of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive as well as deliver sustainable changes in the culture and practice of businesses.
