Description
The first-everjoint Atlantic-WestMED Conference is designed as a space to connect, exchange ideas, build partnerships and turn cooperation into concrete action, focusing on stronger cooperation across sea basins. The conference will bring together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, NGOs, clusters, youth organisations, investors and project leaders to explore common opportunities and create new collaborations between the Atlantic and Western Mediterranean regions.
EU4Ocean will be present with a stand in the exhibition area, together with a Blue School from Las Palmas.
On 15 September, some of our Young Ocean Advocates will take part to the Blue Challenge Hackathon in the morning. In the afternoon, our Young Ocean Advocate Jonathan Heimer will be featuring as keynote speaker in the Blue Synergies session, bringing his experience as member of the Youth4Ocean Forum and showcasing it as a relevant flagship community advancing ocean literacy among youth.
On 16 September, we will be participating in the Atlantic–WestMED Blue Economy Hackathon: From Ideas to Cooperation Projects, in an effort to co-develop innovative cooperation project ideas, address shared blue economy priorities, and lay the foundations for future joint initiatives.
