The public has an important role to play. Thanks to the rise of mobile broadband, today’s “Mediterraneans” are better informed and more organized than any other generation. Simple purchasing decisions taken at the supermarket and online clicks matter greatly. Businesses spend vast amounts to understand their customers’ preferences in order to tailor products and services accordingly. Observation shows that sustainable options will rise on the market if there is demand for it.

10th meeting of the Black Sea SRIA group and EU R&I Days

Meeting summary: 9th meeting for developing a SRIA for the Black Sea/ 8 MAY 2019, Bucharest

The meeting took place in Bucharest as part of the SUST-BLACK conference, where the ”Bucharest Declaration” of the scientific community was issued and the Strategic Research and Innovation agenda for the Black Sea (SRIA) officially launched. The group finalised the SRIA and discussed the avenues for the implementation of the Agenda.

The meeting took place in Brussels and included another session of interactive discussions on the pillars of the draft SRIA and the actions that can be pursued to reach the selected objectives. The draft content of SRIA was further refined by the METU team and shared with the group members ahead of the 8th meeting, scheduled on 18 March 2019 in Istanbul
