Some of the conclusions of the Study are that ACFA is a forum of European organisations whose members consist of a myriad of national organisations and individual citizens (in the case of the NGOs), which is highly appreciated by stakeholders. The networking opportunities that ACFA membership offers are highly welcomed and used. ACFA is an important driver of the European-level dialogue and the dialogue between sectors and interests.

The final report, the technical report and the Summary in French have been delivered to the ACFA members and were presented at the ACFA Plenary on 2/10/2008 in order to launch the reflection on ACFA's functioning and links with RACs.
Following this reflection, ACFA has issued an Opinion (ES, FR)
As results of this debate, the internal discussions in DG MARE and the comments of the consultant in its report, a table of measures to improve ACFA's functioning and representativeness has been discussed with ACFA at its Plenary meeting of 17/6/2009.
The different proposals of this table are being evaluated by the Commission.
