Evaluation of ACFA
The evaluation of the extent to which ACFA met its objectives has been carried out in the framework of the Financial Regulation (ART. 27) and of its Implementing Rules (ART. 21). These articles state that the results of the activities financed by the Commission on an annual basis have to be evaluated at least every six years. The Commission has decided to extend this evaluation in order to perform the description and assessment of the representativeness of the fisheries organisations and other stakeholders concerned bythe CFP in the EU and signed a contract with an external consultant. The final report, the technical annex and a summary in French were delivered in July 2008. The results have been presented to ACFA that has issued an Opinion. The Commission is now evaluating the results.
