BlueInvest Readiness Assistance

BlueInvest Readiness Assistance is an exclusive coaching programme for high potential companies with innovative and sustainable solutions for the Blue Economy. 202 companies have received tailored Readiness Assistance. Call for applications (Deadline: June 30th 2023)

Businesses and projects selected for the programme will receive coaching tailored to their readiness levels and business objectives. The programme is impact-driven, with a focus on providing business support to help companies build capacities for growth and attract investment.

NEW! Tailored Fundraising Assistance

20 mature businesses will be selected for tailored Investment Readiness Assistance level 2 and will be offered advisory services to secure private equity and venture capital finance by investors and investment-readiness experts.

Capacity Building programme for BlueInvest Fund Managers

The blue economy sector has a potential that is estimated to reach

$3 trillion revenue and 200 million jobs globally by 2030. The programme will assist you in launching your blue economy dedicated fund, whether you are a BlueInvest Fund manager or another interested asset manager: 

• Gain a better visibility over trends, business opportunities, market and profitability potential, positive contributions to net-zero targets and innovative technologies and exosystem, by signing up to the BlueInvest cycle of trainings.
• Discover and engage with sustainable, profitable and impactful business opportunities in our oceans and seas, through the Capacity Building programme.

BlueInvest Fund

The European Investment Fund, backed by the European Strategic Investment Fund, has earmarked finance for enterprises with innovative products and services that can help the blue economy deliver the EU's Green Deal priorities. The BlueInvest Fund is structured as an EFSI Equity Product to provide finance to funds that are wholly or partly targeting the blue economy or to individual enterprises backed by more general funds.

In 2020 the BlueInvest fund successfully deployed €75 million EFSI contribution plus €15 million from InnovFin Equity to a number of Venture Capital Funds, who will use these guarantees to invest up €300 million in the blue economy in the next 5 years, most of it in the EU.
