EU4Algae is a key platform for bringing together the latest breakthroughs, events, and resources for stakeholders dedicated to advancing algae-based solutions.
We invite you to participate in an important survey designed to gather insights into algae consumption patterns across the EU and beyond. This survey, taking approximately 5-10 minutes, contributes to the Study to Support a Sustainable EU Algae Industry, funded by CINEA and carried out by a consortium including Trinomics (project lead), s.Pro, University of Ghent, Latvian Aquatic Ecology Institute, Technopolis, Møreforsking, Roheline Vihmavari and Nord University.
The results from this survey will address key knowledge gaps, supporting the growth of a regenerative algae industry throughout Europe. Your participation will help advance the European Green Deal’s objectives, particularly in areas such as:
- Replacing fish-based feed with algae-based alternatives
- Nutrient recycling in algae cultivation
- The role of algae in climate change mitigation
Additionally, the study will explore the use of algae in sustainable food and feed systems, the impact of seaweed harvesting, and existing monitoring schemes for seaweed on European coasts.
For more details, follow the official survey link.
