On the last Friday of September 2025, cities across Europe celebrated the 20th edition of the European Researchers’ Night. One of the hosting cities was Split in Croatia, where around 10,000 visitors - children, adults, and tourists - joined the event held as part of the Blue-connect 2 project under the motto “I explore…”.
Scientists from the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, the University of Split, and the Institute for Adriatic Crops presented their research. Visitors explored marine science, listened to underwater sounds, learned about restoring marine ecosystems, and discovered the hidden world of plankton.
As an EU4Ocean Platform member, the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries also showcased information about the EU4Ocean Coalition, the ongoing #MakeEUBlue: Cities in Action campaign and the Network of European Blue Schools.
Thank you for sharing all of this information and allowing us to learn about this amazing event!
