Description
The European Commission has launched a new €1.7 million call for proposals to strengthen sea‑basin cooperation on Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) across the Atlantic and Black Sea regions.
The funding, provided through the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF), aims to help EU Member States develop innovative, collaborative solutions to shared MSP challenges—from data gaps to cross‑border coordination.
Projects are expected to bring together partners from multiple Member States within the same sea basin, or even across basins, to design approaches that support the implementation, monitoring, and revision of national maritime spatial plans. Proposals may focus on specific sub‑regions and should address issues that benefit from joint action.
The Commission anticipates funding one or two projects.
