This joint workshop aims to address the pressing challenges faced by coastal regions, cities and municipalities in Europe due to climate change and environmental degradation.

This joint workshop aims to address the pressing challenges faced by coastal regions, cities and municipalities in Europe due to climate change and environmental degradation. By bringing together experts and stakeholders participating in the EU Mission Adaptation to Climate Change and the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters, the event will explore integrated approaches to enhance coastal resilience against pressures such as sea level rise and extreme events. Participants will engage in discussions and share insights on how to develop a dynamic process for integrated coastal zone management and implement innovative (nature-based) solutions to protect and restore coastal and marine ecosystems while adapting to the impacts of climate change.

This online event is tailored to regions and local authorities that are signatories of the Mission Adaptation Charter and/or endorse the Mission Ocean and Waters Charter.
